Dr. Nirmita

Dr. Nirmita has placed ceramic veneers on over 100 patients at Tulip Dental. Her approach is precise: every veneer case begins with Digital Smile Design, so patients see and approve the result before any enamel is prepared. The design accounts for your facial proportions, natural tooth colour, and the exact shape that will look most natural for your face.

She works with a trusted dental ceramist to fabricate veneers that match your natural teeth exactly, in translucency, shade gradient, and surface texture. The difference between a veneer that looks 'fake' and one that looks indistinguishable from a natural tooth lies entirely in the design and fabrication quality.

"A veneer placed without digital design is guesswork. I show every patient their expected result, on their own face, before touching a single tooth. The design session is not optional. It is what makes the difference between a result you love and one you regret."— Dr. Nirmita, BDS · Veneer Specialist

What Are Ceramic Veneers?

Ultra-Thin Porcelain, Natural-Looking Results

A ceramic veneer is a thin shell of dental-grade porcelain, typically 0.3 to 0.7mm thick, that is bonded permanently to the front surface of a tooth. Unlike a crown, a veneer covers only the visible front surface. Minimal tooth preparation is needed. The result looks, reflects light, and feels like a natural tooth.

Ceramic veneers are the definitive solution for teeth that are permanently stained (tetracycline, fluorosis, internal discolouration), chipped or worn, slightly misshapen or uneven, or mildly spaced or crowded. For deep or intrinsic staining that whitening cannot resolve, veneers are the only cosmetic option that produces a predictable, lasting result.

01

Digital Smile Design

Your smile is photographed and a digital design is created showing the exact shape, size, and shade of each veneer. You see the result on screen using your own photographs. Adjustments are made until you approve the design completely.

02

Tooth Preparation (Visit 1)

A thin layer of enamel, equal to the thickness of the veneer, is removed from the front surface. Impressions are taken and sent to the ceramist. Temporary veneers are placed so your teeth look good during the 1–2 week fabrication period.

03

Veneer Fitting & Bonding (Visit 2)

The permanent porcelain veneers are tried in, shade-checked, and adjusted if needed. Once you approve, they are permanently bonded with dental adhesive. The result is immediate, dramatic, and natural-looking.

Dr. Nirmita's honest view: Composite veneers are the right choice for younger patients, those who want a reversible option, or those with a tighter budget. Ceramic veneers are for patients who want a permanent, stain-resistant, decade-long result. She will tell you which she recommends for your specific situation.

FAQ

Ceramic Veneer Questions Answered

Questions about veneers? Dr. Nirmita answers on WhatsApp, no pressure, no obligation.

Do ceramic veneers look fake? +
Not when designed and fabricated correctly. Porcelain mimics the light-reflecting translucency of natural tooth enamel, it looks different from composite resin or zirconia under light. Dr. Nirmita uses Digital Smile Design to ensure proportions suit your face, and works with a specialist ceramist who matches shade gradient and surface texture to your natural teeth. The result is veneers that are indistinguishable from natural teeth.
Are ceramic veneers permanent? +
The procedure is permanent because a thin layer of enamel is removed to accommodate the veneer. The veneer itself lasts 10–15 years before replacement may be needed, it is not a lifetime fix, but it is a decade-long one. Replacement is straightforward when needed. The permanent aspect is the tooth preparation, not the veneer material itself.
How much do ceramic veneers cost in Dombivli? +
Ceramic veneer pricing at Tulip Dental is shared at your free consultation. A 4-tooth partial smile makeover, priced at your free consultation. A full 8-tooth smile, priced at your free consultation. EMI is available on multi-veneer cases. Exact pricing is given after your Digital Smile Design consultation.
How long do ceramic veneers last? +
With normal care, ceramic veneers last 10–15 years. Avoid biting hard objects (ice, pen lids, hard crusts) with veneered front teeth. Maintain regular 6-monthly check-ups. Do not use your front teeth as tools. Patients who follow these guidelines consistently hold their veneers for 12–15 years before any replacement is considered.
Is the veneer preparation painful? +
The preparation appointment uses local anaesthesia, you will not feel the enamel reduction. Some sensitivity in the days after is normal and managed with desensitising toothpaste. Temporary veneers are placed immediately so your teeth look good during the fabrication period. Most patients find the procedure more comfortable than expected.
